About CB1
CB1 is a 25-acre mixed-use development by Brookgate that has created a new city quarter for Cambridge. At its core is a state-of-the-art transport interchange at the rail station which includes a new public square, radiating from which are prestigious ‘grade A’ offices, premium residential, retail and hotel space and purpose-built student residence accommodation. The split of property type is approximately 30% commercial, 30% residents and 30% student accommodation. The student accommodation comprises over 1,000 bedrooms, primarily intended for Anglia Ruskin University students and language school students in the summer.
About CB1 Community
CB1 Community is a website managed by Bidwells, and owned by CB1 Estate Management, the company responsible for running the CB1 area. The website is the flagship of an initiative to improve communication between members of the CB1 community, whether they be residents, workers or stakeholders*, and research has further shown that there is a need to improve community cohesion. You can read more about the CB1 story so far here.
The initiative is being driven by the CB1 Stakeholder Group, which meets regularly to better understand how to make the CB1 area an even better place to live, work and play. Over the coming months, we anticipate increased participation by residents in the initiative, supported by the stakeholders.
