Over May, Circular Cambridge are running free 90 minute repair sessions on Zoom for people to get their broken items seen by an experienced Cambridgeshire Repair Café repairer without even leaving their home!
On Wednesday lunchtimes, Circular Cambridge are running repair sessions from 12.30pm to 2pm where you will be able to ‘bring’ the following items to be repaired with one-to-one advice:
- electricals – battery powered electrical items only as they can’t see mains powered appliances etc
- household and garden items
Everything’s being done virtually using Zoom and once in the virtual café, they will allocate you a themed breakout room where you’ll meet your repairer. To take part, you’ll need a PC, tablet or phone that can be used for video calls and a Zoom account. Some guidance for using Zoom is here.
To book, click here.
You will receive a confirmation email when you book on the website. They will send another email the day before the session with a link to join the Virtual Repair Cafe. You can only book one item in per week, and you must be able to join at 12:30pm and wait to be seen. They may need to cancel bookings if they feel that the item is not suitable for a Virtual Repair Cafe.
The Cambridge Virtual Repair Café is free to visit and is open to all aged 18 or over.
