Over the build-up to Christmas, we will be supporting the great work of local homeless charities by collecting donated items.
Following a suggestion from a local business, we’re collecting donated items for Wintercomfort. This will help support homeless people and the charity over a busy Christmas period. Collection boxes are now in position in office blocks, student accommodation and the Community Room on CB1. Some of the biggest office blocks on CB1 are getting involved including One Station Square, 20 Station Road and 50/60 Station Road.
The collection is running from 18th November to 18th December and all items donated will be dropped off to Wintercomfort in time for the last week before Christmas. The items that are required include the following:
- Peanut butter
- Chocolate spread
- Tomato sauce
- Brown sauce
- Chocolate bars + sweets
- Hot chocolate sachets
- Notepad and pen
Please donate sealed unopened items.
If you can donate an item, please drop into the collection box. If you are a worker on CB1, it should be signposted where your collection box is (usually communal areas such as reception). For residents, the collection box is at the Community Room. The room is open on Monday afternoons for a drop-in and items can be donated then.
The CB1 Business Centre at 20 Station Road are happy to accept any donated items at their reception desk
