It was terrible weather but a good herb planting session was held at the Community Room on Tuesday 1st October.
Cambridge Botanic Gardens ran the session and residents were able to plant pea shoots, pak choi and lettuce to take away with them and grow over winter. The team from the Botanics ran a really engaging session for people to drop-in to and there was great enthusiasm despite a very rainy day.
There will be another session in April when the weather is nicer again and we can gauge further interest in having a small community garden at CB1. We’re looking for people who want to get involved in growing and maintaining the garden. This would involve doing occasional planting up, watering, deciding what to grow etc!
