It was suggested by some residents about having some activities over the summer holidays for people to get involved in especially with the good weather and schools being finished for the term. Over the last five weeks, there was an activity every week with a variety of different things including a relaxed coffee drop-in, face painting and a bake off!
The following activities were held:
Tuesday 6th August – coffee drop-in and cake decoration
Tuesday 13th August – arts and crafts session
Wednesday 21st August – balloon modelling workshop
Tuesday 27th August – face painting
Monday 2nd September – CB1 Bake off
The attendance varied throughout the summer with August being peak holiday season but we’d like to thank those who attended over the five weeks and we hope the activities were enjoyed. This is all part of ensuring there are activities to look out for and ones that people want to participate in.
In addition to activities taking place on CB1, there have also been other activities taking place over the summer including community lunches at St Paul’s. These were coordinated by the Council and hosted around the city. They were well attended and CB1 residents who attended the St Paul’s lunches enjoyed them!
