Following on from our last residents meeting in January, the latest CB1 Community residents meet took place on Monday 25th February 2019 at the Community Room at Huxley House in Mill Park. Notes from the meeting can be found here. Included in the notes is a report from Sam (the Community Engagement and Project Coordinator).
The aims of the meet were to:
- Update about CB1
- Discuss resident issues and think about how community can be strengthened
- To discuss the scoped idea of the Residents Federation and the way forward on this
- Discuss and agree further actions & next steps
The meet centred on service charge issues. There was some discussion of figures obtained by a local councillor. The CB1 Management Company figures about the estate are available here. Please also note that the CB1 Management Company budget for the forthcoming financial year will be available shortly on the CB1 Community website. We will notify you when this is on the website. It was also discussed about creating a simple schedule of events and activities that can be done. In formulating this, we would like to ask for resident volunteers who would be willing to put forward some ideas and help make them reality. Activities might include community picnics, a board games club, after-school get-togethers for parents and children. If you would like to be involved in this community work or have any questions, please contact Sam at email@example.com.
The next residents meet will take place on Wednesday 17th April 2019 from 7pm to 8.30pm with arrival from 6.30pm for attendees to catch up and meet neighbours. The location of this will be Huxley House Community Room.
