Following on from our third residents meeting in May, CB1 Community hosted its fourth residents meeting on Wednesday 25th July 2018 at Crick House in Mill Park. Notes from the meeting can be found here and you can read the action plan and structure chart too.
The aims of the meet were to:
- Update about CB1
- Discuss resident issues
- Discuss and agree further actions and next steps
The meet focused primarily on issues residents wanted to raise as well as resident representation on the CB1 Steering Group. Community Engagement in CB1 was also discussed and the new Community Engagement and Project Coordinator, Sam Kenward was introduced to the group. He is keen to engage with local stakeholders to gain an understanding of CB1 and to work with all local stakeholders to improve the local area. Sam’s contact details are: firstname.lastname@example.org (email) and 07946304332 (mobile).
Mentioned at the meet and linked with Sam’s role is the reopening of Mill Park (CGI image of the completed refurbishment above). The reopening date is yet to be announced but there are plans to hold some community activities to help mark the opening. The aim is for residents to take part in the planning for this. If you would like to be involved and have any ideas, please contact Sam. The aim would be to have a meeting to discuss ideas and what we can do for it and then go from there.
Please note that the next Residents meet will take place on Thursday 13th September 2018 from 7.00pm-8.30pm, again at Crick House in Mill Park.
